The location is fantastic. Taking a trek to a view point behind this hostel is highly recommended. The beds are extremely noisy which resulted in less than ideal sleeping conditions. Other than that, great service!

I joined the dog sledding tour and had a whale of a time. William, our guide, was so friendly, always checking if I was feeling cold. The dogs were incredibly adorable, and watching them run was a delight. They are so excited to take you through the lake and bushes. The valley view was truly spectacular. I highly recommend joining their dog sledding tour for an unforgettable experience.

The dogsledding tour offered by Abisko.net/Fjallturer was one of the highlights of my stay in Abisko. It was an exciting adventure riding on the sled, being pulled on the snow by a group of lovely dogs that seemed to enjoy the thrill and exercise. Before we were on our way, I had the chance to interact with many of the dogs, but I took a special liking to one of them, Mango. It was a reciprocated feeling. So, I made a new friend :-)||I would like to thank the staff for their excellent service: Sonia, for her kind and polite email interactions; Thomas, for picking me up from the Turiststation and his smile and kind demeanor; And specially Levi, who was very kind to let me sit and thus allowed me to really enjoy the activity. Chatting with him on the ride was fun. Totally recommended!

First of all, the staff was really nice and the tours we booked were all by great guides!
The rooms are okay, a bit outdated and the bed kind of unstable, but everything fine for a hostel. the kitchen was also well equipped.
However, the biggest disadvantage would have to be that there is only one toilet per floor which can be annoying. The shower is communal and in the sauna building, this however I didn’t mind since we just took a shower after the sauna.
The location was great for all the activities, the supermarket is not far and we also walked to the lake.
Overall I can recommend.

Good location but poor with the basics
Liked · The room I was in was spacious enough for the 3 bunk beds in there. The location is good as it's close to the station Abisko Ostra and close to the only restaurant in the village.
Disliked · So firstly yes you need to pay 90kur for sheets, which they really shouldn't be charging separately for. Just include it in the price. The beds were pretty uncomfortable and well used. There was a light in each bunk but the plugs weren't very convenient. There is one toilet for the floor which can be annoying. The showers are in the same building as a sauna despite what they will tell you at reception. The showers are communal per male and female and very small at that. The sauna is open for an hour but be warned its a nude sauna and someone will likely tell you you can't wear anything. Women can wrap in a towel but guys are only provided with a tiny towel. It was also full of people talking which meant that you couldn't really relax.

We stayed in the hostel with a big group, and they gave us a whole building for ourselves.
The rooms were alright, in my case I had a double room i and it was the perfect space for two people.
What i did not like the most is that to shower you had to go to another building, and maybe a toilet for 15 people in one floor was not enough.
The kitchen was equipped with the necessary amenities. They also count with a spacious sauna!
They have different activities (dog sliding, snowmobile, etc), and they provide you with the appropriate clothes to do the activities!
The hostel was overall very friendly and I would recommend as a good option if coming to Absiko.

We booked the this dogsledding experience as part of our Lights Over Lapland experience and it certainly did not disappoint! Our first scheduled day was cancelled due to the extreme cold weather however they showed great flexibility to enable us do this once in a lifetime experience by rescheduling us for the following day so we were really impressed! The whole experience was unbelievable from start to finish and to be have the opportunity to interact with the dogs during the sledding experience and the end just made the whole activity even more enjoyable! We can recommend this activity without reservation and send our heartfelt thanks to the whole team for enabling us to tick this experience off our bucket list!

During both my winter and summer visits to Abisko, I chose this budget-friendly hostel, which offers not only a clean, comfortable stay, but also the chance to meet new people and make friends. The rooms are standard, yet boast incredible views, while the kitchen provides essential utilities and a breathtaking panorama.
The added bonus of an on-site sauna and an unforgettable dog sled tour make this a truly exceptional experience. With friendly and helpful staff, I wholeheartedly recommend this accommodation.
