Getnö Gård Aktiebolag

We had a very nice time with a fantastic view of Lake Åsnen. We rented a boat but did not get the deposit back. Since August we tried to contact Getnö Gård campsite by email and telephone. However, we have not received any feedback. At the end, we are very disappointed and cannot recommend this campsite.

This is a hard review to write. We loved our stay here but it was disappointing enough to score it low overall. The onsite shop is very expensive, and being fairly remote I feel its slightly unfair. The pitch size is good but not that useable, the un-even ground and mud (only rained once) was frustrating. But this I could of been happy with if the facilities were ok. What is going on with them!? they are awful! no hot water if people have been washing up, filthy dirty, no privacy, outdated cubicles and smelly. oh and the light turns off unless someone else comes through the door to use the toilet (which is right next to you!) They need completely knocking down and a purpose built modern eco friendly building put in its place. I'd happily pay more or even have the showers on a payment card if it meant they were clean modern and had hot water.

The worst booking process I ever had! I tried to book a house for a fishing trip. I emailed them couple of times and the response was very short with missing information. I called them more than 20 times. When answered, they told me that I have to send email for booking… because they can’t give information on the call.
After a month of trying the house was booked on my name, but I didn’t receive any confirmation email.. two weeks later I called again and the house was not available anymore…
So, apparently Getno Resort doesn’t care about clients.. they make the process very difficult and don’t want to find a way..

Don’t recommend!

Getno Gard on first sight a tranquil and beautiful place in the hart of a nature reserve. Endless lakes, mos covered forests and red Swedish houses. This camp site has multiple area’s to camp, enjoy the summer and perform water sports.

From first glance a good camp site, but nevertheless some cracks in this ideal picture. Unfinished pitches (#21) with a sewer odor, cold water for the showers during rush hours, over full recycling area’s, and WIFI that does not cover the campsite.

Ladies at the front desk and in the shop are friendly and serve you with a smile. The small shop is providing campers their basic needs, but the opening hours don’t fit todays standard with waiting cues.

I would be great to create a few camp fire spots where people can meet and enjoy the comfortable fire, but having an fire spot for each pitch is a bit abundant and fill the camp site with smoke almost every evening.

The cafe should be open for dinner service, I requested an reservation and this was not required. On the day of the visit no food was offered because there was a group, I think they should reconsider if they are a café or not.

Camping spot at a nice place in the woods, near a lake. The camping organization is horrible, there are not enough toilets and showers , at some moments you have to wait for 15/30 minutes to go to the toilet or take a shower. There is no restaurant or bar at the camping and the nearest village is 30 minutes of driving. Bread service at camping is also chaos, little shop only opens at 9 o clock in the morning. The worst of all is the horrible employees of the campsite, they are very rude to their clients. You get very soon the feeling that you have to pay as much as quickly possible and then leave everywone alone. every question is too much. Never again !

Awesome location but the campsite is too crowded for the facilities. We were there for 5 days but only had one hot shower, too many German people doing dishes and using up all the hot water. Indoors cooking and eating possible. Great sites. Friendly staff. Beautiful lake side but a bit muddy water

Really a great spot to camp! Beautiful located in Swedish forest and lake area. Some groceries are available at the reception. Supermarkets are not nearby. Nice campingpitches. Every pitch has its own fireplace. Lots of space. But ...... when you take the price for the camping into account and you look at the sanatary facilities the rating of 4 stars is really not desereved. These are way below what you would expect. Showers are not warm. Toilets are functional but a lot is old, dusty and poorly repaired. Checking out took us one hour(10-11am) because of a long queue.. It is therefore maybe a good idea to check out real early when the reception opens.

Nice Camping ground, meeting all expectations that you can expect of a camping ground to start your kayak trip from. We went in September, but shower were warm, wheater was warm, gras was green and the lakes like a mirror. We did rent our kayaks here and whent on the lakes for 5 days. Very nice area. The staff of the camping ground was very helpfull in explaining the rules and nice places to go.
