My husband and I met Sam Bruneel and his assistant Dominique when they came to trim our large elm tree. At once they were not only very professional but also friendly and—even better—patient and careful listeners to our concerns about this dear old elm. They worked steadily and expertly for almost 5 hours, and for now saved what was possible. When time comes for more tree treatment, we will contact Sam again, trusting that he and his employees will do the best possible. Great service. Had them removed a huge tree in my yard. Called for estimate and got it same day. They came the next day and got straight to work! Will hire Sam again someday for future tree work.

OK – so I’m going to admit that I do most maintenance / repair on my home and vehicles for myself. A big part of the reason is that I tend to have very high standards, and I’ve also had a few less than stellar experiences with contractors and service people in the past. Plus, you can’t beat the cost of doing something yourself!

So, anyway, we needed a couple of dead trees taken down and the branches hauled off, and the job seemed bigger than I really desired to tackle right now. I researched the options available locally, and thought I’d give HB Saw Service a try. I can’t tell you how pleased I have been! You know how sometimes it is a huge pain even getting someone to call you back? Or if they do, it is clear that they really don’t want to do your smaller job that badly? From my very first interaction on the phone (it only took one phone call by the way!) to the last moment as Sam was pulling away from my house with the job completed, I’ve been completely satisfied with every aspect of the service I received from HB Saw. Sam was very responsive both initially discussing the job, as well as coming out to review/bid the job. Then, he did exactly what he said he’d do and called me back within a few days to schedule the job once his schedule cleared. The job was done for a very affordable price, and he carefully cleaned up everything when the job was done. This was especially important to me because one of the trees had to be felled into my neighbor’s yard, and all the debris had to be hauled out through his yard as well. When he left, you couldn’t even tell that anything had happened there!

I would rate the price and service I received as exemplary…and believe me I don’t just give out such high praise lightly. I would tell anyone looking for any type of tree service my strongest recommendation to give HB Saw Service a try.

Sam with HB Saw Service was professional and really great at communicating. We had a branch down on the roof and some snow moving in on the day he originally scheduled the removal, so he called and came in on a Sunday to get it done early. He even went the extra mile and blew out the gutters while he was up on the second story roof. He made sure to check that he was trimming the way I wanted. Great service, would highly recommend.

SM's crew has worked on my rental properties and my personal home for years now. They have removed mature trees without hitting buildings. They often can work trees without the use of a power lift being that Staff is experienced climbing and sawing. Last time I had them out to do Fall prep of trees and shrubs. They did a fine job of that, clearing back foliage from driveway, exterior walls, and garden paths, shaping some cherry, oregon grape, hawthorne, choke cherry, mountain ash, lilac, service berry, ect. All a fine job.
