A week’s fishing in the land of the midnight sun.
For those interested in the fishing the grayling fishing is a 5 minute walk away and excellent. Lovely guides are also available and can organise fishing further afield.
We stayed in a small, comfortable, chalet. En-suite with a small kitchenette, importantly for summer trips it had excellent blackout blinds.
Lars and his team offer wonderful hospitality. The food was consistently both excellent and plentiful.
They’re also great in helping out should an unexpected crisis arise…
Thoroughly recommended and would love to return.

Basic but clean cottages. Beautifull enviroment. Good food. Friendly staff. Be sure to arrange the transportation to the airport yourself otherwise you will be dropped off at the airport way to early.

We stayed here a week via a Northern Lights Adventure package through a travel agency. What a PHENOMENAL experience. The cabins were cozy and clean. The evening diners were a delicious buffet; we never went hungry. The staff and guides were friendly and knowledgeable. When not participating in snow shoeing, cross country skiing, dog sledding, learning about the Sami culture, etc, we had free use of the equipment and did our own activities. We cannot say enough about Lars, he went out of his way to coordinate logistics and make sure we were happy. Our guide Sami was encouraging and patient, especially with a diverse group of skills like ours. We loved the winter experience, a bonus to see the Norther Lights (twice)!, and are considering a spring or fall trip, to see the land in a different season

Stayed at Rajamaa for a week of winter activities including snow shoeing, dog sledging, snowmobiling, reindeer sledging and forest skiing as well as learning about Europe’s only indigenous culture, the Sami’s. Lars was a warm and welcoming host with a dry and very amusing sense of humour. The other guide, Sammy, was chatty and nice too. Kaisu made delicious evening meals and Anna was a great help in the restaurant. They have a real focus on recycling and their carbon footprint which is encouraging. The accommodation is simple but very comfortable and clean. It was a fantastic week and would recommend spending some time here in very peaceful and beautiful surroundings.

If you're looking for a luxury hotel you are likely lost. If you want a clean, private cabin you found the right place. My wife and I spent two days and nights here while passing through Lapland. The cabin was cozy, clean, and just right. The home cooking was delicious. The hospitality was welcoming. Having spent a month traveling Scandinavia, the few days we spent here were the highlight of our trip. The fishing was great too!!!

We spent 2 nights in one of the smaller cabins while on a fishing trip in the area. My husband and I truly enjoyed the accommodations and the dining experience created by Kaizu. We met her family, including her infant granddaughter. The entire family was very friendly and we enjoyed our conversations each night and morning. ||We highly recommend you make this a part of your trip if you are in the area.

On the way from Norway to Finland we drove to Sweden. Ylläs Camping was still closed at 14.6.2019 so we went to Rajamaa Camping. It was small and nice, 24e for 2+2 Family and car, inc. sauna and electricity. We had nice walk to Pitkäniemenpää and grilled sausages there. Grilling place was not in good condition, there was not wood for fire and toilet building was collapsed. But Äijänkoski and view was beautiful.
