I can't find enough superlatives to describe how amazing this place is. Everything here is the absolute best. The food, the staff, the service, the cabins, the fire, the lake, the forest, the snow, the activities, everything. You can experience true Swedish wilderness here. We stayed for 4 nights and it was not enough. You will feel like you've got absolutely nothing to worry about in the world, except what to do today and when to go to the sauna. The staff will do anything they can to make sure your stay is perfect. You can fill your day with activities and go all out, or just lounge by the fire or in the hot tub, and chill, whatever you're in the mood for. If you are reding this review, just don't wait and go talk to Graeme and book your stay. He'll help you pick and choose what you want to do and make sure you're well taken care of. Shout out to his amazing staff as well. Thank you Josephine, Cece, Mauro, and Emmanuel for making the best meals we had and for looking after us. 10/10 will recommend this place to everyone I know.

This might be the most amazing place. From the accommodations, to the food, staff, and activities - everything was perfect. My wife and I spent 3 days here as part of our honeymoon and the hosts made us feel so special and relaxed. Josephine, Emmanuel, and Stefan were so great and made our entire honeymoon. The other staff we didn’t get to know as well were also amazing! We can’t wait to plan our trip back. We wish we had spent more time here during our honeymoon.

There is nothing I can say that hasn't been said before about the Artic Retreat. Everytime I opened the door to the log cabin, it took my breath away. No stone was left unturned in terms of being made welcome and comfort. Graeme's team is second to none. I felt thoroughly spoilt! The food....! The icing on the cake was to see the northern lights.
Thank you, truly. My stay here was soup for my soul.

We had a great time at the Arctic Retreat in Swedish Lapland. It was very peaceful, with only a few log cabins for guests. The beauty of the land, the homely warmth of service and the tailored experience of living in wilderness made it feel private and special.||But it was not just the physical charm of the place that left us enchanted. The service was remarkably personal, attentive, and catered to our every need and preference. Our hosts, Graham and Josephine, were like extended family, connecting beautifully with us, particularly our boys, Fares and Saif. Their friendly and caring nature won the boys over to the extent that they're already planning our next visit! Food was amazing, all crafted by Josephine who showcased the unique flavors of Lapland (well the kids got pasta , pizza , cheese sticks, chicken nuggets and ice cream )||We visited in the summer, and the area around the retreat was very beautiful. The Råne river was perfect; we enjoyed kayaking and fishing, and the boys took the opportunity to explore nature, making unforgettable memories.||In short, we highly recommend the Arctic Retreat. It's not just a hotel, but a wonderful experience in the heart of nature. The team made our stay truly special, and we can't wait for our next visit.||Kudos to the Arctic Retreat team for this exceptional experience, you've truly perfected the art of hosting! See you soon, hopefully in our next winter adventure.

I can’t recommend the Artic Retreat highly enough. Fantastically well run and organised by Graham, aided by superb staff who were warm, welcoming and hospitable.|The accommodation fantastic, the food wonderful and nothing was too much trouble-organising a snow mobile experience at very short notice, for example.|Very knowledgeable about the area, and helped us with cold weather gear, especially our young daughter.|Very keen to return in the not too distant future.

The Arctic Retreat is a magical place away from it all. Relax in nature, learn about everyday life near the Arctic Circle, enjoy a variety of outdoor activities, & dine on carefully curated meals in this rustic setting.

This is a unique property in that there are only 3 cabins and you are in the middle of nowhere! When we arrived down the unmarked driveway we were greeted to a path lit by beautiful candles. We were then greeted by the host (Graham) & Sophia who were just as lovely and friendly. We stayed in the Sun cabin which was very spacious and had a great view of the river. We also particularly loved the private hot tub; even in the minus degree weather! Our first night we had dinner at the lookout in a private room cooked over a fire pit, definitely recommend this. We had two activities during our stay -- dog sledding and snowmobiling -- and loved both of them! Definitely would recommend this hidden gem in Lapland Sweden!
