Super cute little hotel with very cosy rooms. Amazing breakfast with lovely flower decorations. (A labelling for lactose free is the only thing that I wish they had and an oat latte macchiato). Thank you Amanda for your help and to make our stay so memorable.

Good location in the old part of the town. This is a medium sized boutique hotel with 21 rooms. We had a light and airy room on the first floor overlooking the street. Decoration is stylish, the bed comfortable. Well equipped with TV, safe and kettle. |There was sufficient space in the room but the layout of the bathroom left a lot to be desired. Although very good quality toiletries are provided, the space available is very small compared to the room. Shower space is cramped and the huge rain shower head is too large for the space so it is necessary to resort to the hand held shower if you wish to avoid wetting your hair. Because space is limited, the bathroom floor becomes wet quickly. This is a shame because every other aspect of the hotel is excellent.|Breakfast has a good range of food all intricately prepared. This is not your standard hotel fare. Both reception staff we encountered during our stay were friendly and approachable and overall, we were happy with our stay here.

I can't say enough about this place. First, it's in easy walking distance (10 minutes over cobblestones) of the ferry from Nynashamn. Kalk is located on a charming street beside a small section of the medieval wall that surrounds/surrounded Visby. You can walk out the door and be close to old church ruins and the town center with its many restaurants. And in the morning, you'll enjoy the best free breakfast we had in Sweden, which is saying something. The rooms are comfortable, wonderfully appointed (the tiles are made of Gotland stone with fossils) and the beds terrific. Our room on the second floor had a nice view of the charming narrow streets and houses below. Higher up (and more expensive) rooms have balconies and a view of the water, but we didn't spring for those. The service is terrific. The helpful woman at the front desk helped us arrange a car rental to visit the island of Fârö to the north, which was well worth the trip. The front desk closes after 6:00pm, but it's easy to let yourself in. If you like small, unique hotels, this is an exemplar of one. I still dream about that breakfast.

We staid at the hotel, that I would classify as a boutique hotel, for five nights and enjoyed it very much. We really loved the rich and very tasty breakfast. The staff was great and many thanks to Josef and Amanda in the reception, Dagan for cleaning the room, and most important Tina that made the lovely breakfast. So what can be improved? I suggest upgrading the TV in our room to a smart TV (room 35) so we could see our own Netflix. The elevator had some minor peculiarities. Anyhow, we love the hotel and will recommend it to our family and friends.

This is such a fab little hotel which despite having a small family hotel vibe, is actually really modern and stylish inside. The service staff were all lovely and so nice. Breakfast was a little different than other hotels in the best way - not a huge buffet with all the usual low cost bulk food but plenty of options at high quality. The location is great, a minute’s walk to the coast and wall walks, 5-10 min to the stora (uphill just fyi) and even directly opposite the Gotland museum. I had a terrific stay!||The only thing I would have loved was either air con or fans in every room. It was unusually warm for September and as the staff go home at night time (as they should!) there’s no way to immediately resolve a warmer room at night.

We fell in love with this hotel several years ago and had a great time this second time as well. The interior is very beautiful and clean. Staff is helpful and friendly. The breakfast buffet is extremely good. Lot of local made food. Great sizes of the portions. Fresh bread. The waffles are a must have. We will be back!

|A very cute little hotel. One felt immediately at home there. The rooms were excellent, beds more than good, breakfast more than enough. The interior design is very nicely done. The location is very, very good. The staff where just lovely, warm and welcoming in a friendly way. We really recommend this hotel for your stay.
