DEFA

Due to a very serious weakness in the DEFA Power charger, I want to warn you about this product. You probably all know how sensitive today's infrastructure is and how often you normally have interruptions in various internet-related services. A little too often! You should be aware that if you buy this product, an interruption in the network anywhere outside your home and beyond your control will most likely mean that you will not be able to charge your car. It is then not possible to access the charging box either via the app or the RFID tag (i.e. directly on the charger). You are completely locked out of your box and there is no way to locally activate it and start charging even though you have electricity in the house and that your local network is working. Decide for yourself whether you think this is a risk you want to add to your electric car ownership. Instead, choose a charger on the market that you can always activate from home as long as there is power in the house! The attached picture shows what it looks like at your Defa box if there are disturbances outside your home. You will not be verified and cannot even start charging directly on the box, even if you have power in the house. Failed Defa!

We are a housing association that installed 12 DEFA/ABL chargers three years ago. They started to stop working last year. We get no support and no spare parts. We are forced to pay for a charger replacement ourselves. This is not a reliable player and supplier of car chargers that cannot be recommended. Simply rubbish. Chairman Brf Kristina, Uppsala
