We adopted an extremely nice cat from Töreboda Katthem, and we love him immensely. We were told that he gets upset in the stomach, especially when moving, and that he had been in a home before that did not work and so he came back to them. We were okay with this, it seemed like a temporary problem that should be fine with a little patience and good nutrition. We guess that deworming was not done after his return, and we thus got our guy with worms, which we feel is extremely careless of the cat shelter. With us he is an indoor cat and is not fed anything that could risk worms, we are extremely careful with our hygiene. We have had him for a month and have had to take advice with Agria 3 separate times due to blood in the stool, diarrhea and now roundworm. Veterinary food such as konekost, Fortiflora and now deworming, the costs are going up and up. Which we of course pay, he deserves everything, but this would have been extremely avoidable. At the cat shelter, the treatment was okay, but we felt that some opinions were dangerous to the cat's health, for example, we were told to leave opened wet food at room temperature so that "it doesn't have time to go bad and it's not good cold", which we don't feel comfortable with at all in retrospect. The cat shelter was also supposed to call 3 and then 7 days after taking over the cat. We got a call 3 days later but then they released him, even though I mentioned the blood in the stool. From our perspective, it feels like they didn't care about follow-up when we were pretty clear that we should keep him. I am hugely disappointed in the routines regarding the health of these cats, as well as the follow-up. Our guy is experiencing a lot of unnecessary suffering that could have been prevented, he doesn't deserve this. I understand that there are a huge number of cats that come in and out, but you have a responsibility. I see in these reviews that we are not the only ones who have brought home a cat with worms and had a similar experience. I will not return for future pet interest.

Vi adopterade en enormt trevlig katt från Töreboda Katthem, och vi älskar honom enormt mycket. Vi fick veta att han blir stökig i magen, speciellt vid flytt, och att han varit i ett hem innan som inte fungerade och han därmed kom tillbaks …
