Europcar Borås

Avbokade min bil tre dagar innan vi skulle åka. Ringde och frågade och fick ett ickesvar och helt ointresserade av att hjälpa till. Fick toppenhjälp hos annan uthyrare, så vänd er till någon av de andra.

- Bad service. - They paid for a Passat, were promised an A6 (upgrade) if there was no Passat. They would "go far and wide" to find cars. Got a Q5. Small SUV, high ceiling, less luggage space. - Gave no information whatsoever about where to park the car and where to return the key, when we came back at an unmanned time. - We received no information (via email) with things to think about. - We received no booking confirmation. - We received no receipt. We pointed out what was promised when we booked the car several weeks before, the answer we got was "but then we can cancel it and you will get your money back" with an INCREDIBLY sarcastic tone. Neither polite nor fair at all to treat us with such behavior just a couple of days before departure. All hotels/accommodations and experiences were already booked! Would Europcar have been responsible for all of this if we chose to get our money back for a fault they caused themselves? Not a chance. To top it off, I not only got my deposit back, but also the full amount for the car. I called Europcar Borås and asked why that was the case. The woman who answered the phone didn't have a really good answer and simply said "how strange because it was deducted yesterday, I see here". Which was extremely strange considering that I saw that I had about 10,000 more in my account (which suddenly just appeared). If I had happened or chosen to transfer to another account that meant that Europcar couldn't withdraw the money, then they would have demanded the money back and there would have been a guaranteed late fee. A tip is not to book online. There you get the fantastic option of adding a GPS for an extra penny. When we booked on site, the person who helped us said that GPS is always included as the cars are brand new and that she didn't know why it was possible to add it online, but that many customers apparently do it anyway and pay for it. Are you a young person who wants to go on a road trip abroad or around Europe? Then I strongly advise you who are reading this not to rent a car from Europcar in Borås. They don't keep their promises, they are rude, you don't get the information you need, there is a risk of financial problems if you are not careful when withdrawing the deposit + amount for car rental, you can be scammed out of money if you book and pay online.
