What a treat! A historic building well kept and maintained as a two stories restaurant today. Right along the famous R1 road (Riksettan). Super cozy, filled with antiques, paintings, nick-nacks on shelfs. Thresholds are genuine and high, doors are neck bendingly low! Wood burning stoves etc Popular and for a good reason. Food is super tasty, well cooked and fresh. Lunch for the day gives you a choice between a vegetarian, fish and meat dish. Soup, home baked bread, assorted butters, hummus, tapenade, salad to start you of. Coffee and a small selection of cookies to complete the meal. If you would like a beer or some wine the restaurant is fully licensed. You pay and order at the bar when you enter. The food is then served at your table by friendly staff! We'll be back❤️

If you ever visit Ljungby, Gästgivare gården is a must visit, the food is very good and of high quality and the service and atmosphere is top notch

As a vegetarian we had a great ‘dagens lunch’. The corn soup was very nice, the salads all vegetarian, bread with some nice humus, and also the lunch itself was very tasteful. Staff is very kind for dogs as well. Would highly recommend, one of the best lunches we had during our holiday in Sweden.
