Gusto d'Italia - Kungsholmen

I don't know yet if I will give them a second chance. After 1h after ordering, the waitress came and explain that they were having some problems that evening and that it would take a bit longer. We understood, we can all have bad days. 1h 15min after arriving, we got the starters. 2h30min, main dish. They understood it was unacceptable and didn't make us pay. I understand this is their only way to compensate clients but it was not enough. Something happened with our table. They forgot about us. Nobody came in those 2h30min to explain, check on us ... Except the owner in the end, to apologize. After we were served, all employees disappeared. It was extremely weird. They just vanished. We were close to the kitchen and saw the service was chaotic all evening long. Dishes that went to wrong tables, our order lost in those... We were the last (literally) to be served, and we arrived at 19.10. after we got our meal the kitchen was emptied. The waitress didn't come to us to check if the meal had been good, or if we needed something else... So we just left. Regarding the food, it was not bad. I understand the owner is Swedish/Italian and could hear that cooks and some employees were italians... Not enough. It was not bad, but I don't think is aligned with what they are trying to sell. We had expectations. The space is very nice, we liked the open kitchen and the person who received as at the entrance was very professional. In fact, it was him and not the waitress who had taken out order who asked about our food when it had been more than 1h waiting. As said, we were seating close to the kitchen and I could overhear what was happening. I am sorry to write this and probably wouldn't believe this review if I was reading it myself. It has a 4.7 in Google maps and does it not easy. But it was really disappointing. We left close to 22.00 angry and hungry. If it was a one time thing or not....?! I don't know. If we try again, it will need to be after some time from now

We visited Gusto Italia yesterday around 9:30 PM. The restaurant was clearly still open (closing time listed as 11:00 PM), yet we were refused entry without any proper explanation. We were a group of four, well dressed and simply looking to have dinner. What made the situation especially uncomfortable was the way it was handled — dismissive, vague, and frankly hard to understand. It left us with the impression that the decision may not have been based on legitimate reasons, which is concerning. Regardless, turning away customers like this while the restaurant is still open is unacceptable and unprofessional. I’ve attached a photo (taken at 10:15 PM) showing staff still “working” and service ongoing, and the bar was still open at 10:15 PM. There were customers inside, while staff remained outside, which makes the refusal even harder to understand. Very disappointing experience.

Genuin italienare i bästa läge vid vattnet. Bra och trevlig service av toppklass. Fantastisk god mat med en kreativ twist som var mycket uppskattat av hela sällskapet. Här kommer det Italienska hantverket till sin rätt.
