Hired Hyr65plus to build a terrace. Feedback/feedback before the terrace was built and discussions about expectations from the carpenter were non-existent. I could definitely have been clearer, but as a first-time customer of a terrace build, I didn't really know what questions to ask, but expected it to be something the carpenter would ask. We stopped the job when the frame was ready and the decking was to be laid. Now that we have started laying the decking, we have had to redo parts of the job with joists, etc. to make sure there are straight lines with screws. Their plan was to lay the decking with nails - which I accepted at first - but I didn't realize that there would be such rough marks or less straight lines. I have also learned afterwards that it is common practice to use screws when building terraces today, but the carpenter didn't want to admit that. So with the information here and the exposure of my ignorance, you can decide for yourself whether you want to hire the company.
