Kvisthamrabacken

We have visited Kvisthamrabacken in Norrtälje several times and it really is a small facility with a lot of heart. It is not big, but that doesn't really matter because it serves its purpose very well. The slope is short but quite steep, which means that the ride still feels fun and gets you up to speed. Despite the size, there are three different runs, which means that you can vary the ride a bit and not just ride the same track all the time. The staff is really worth highlighting. They are very nice, helpful and contribute to a really good atmosphere throughout the slope. You feel welcome every time you come there. There is also a cozy heated cabin where you can come in and warm up. There is a little simpler service there, which is perfect if you want to take a break, get something hot to drink or something small to eat between rides. Kvisthamrabacken is very suitable for families with children, beginners or for those who just want to take some fun rides near Norrtälje without having to travel far. In summary, it is a small but very nice ski slope with a family atmosphere and dedicated staff. We will definitely continue to go here between other ski trips – perfect when you just want to take some lovely runs on home turf.
