My experience with Livio in Gothenburg has unfortunately been very negative. After my HSG examination, we went to the reception to pay, as we are fully aware that you are a private clinic. That is precisely why we were ready to pay before we left. However, the staff at the reception clearly informed us that the cost would be covered by the state and that it was therefore free for us. Based on that information, we left the clinic in good faith. We have never received any written information that the examination would cost 5,000 SEK. We have also never signed any agreement or document stating the cost. We have therefore never been correctly informed that we would be responsible for the payment ourselves. Despite this, we subsequently received an invoice for 5,000 SEK. When I called to explain the situation, I was treated in a very unpleasant and nonchalant manner. The person I spoke to showed no interest in listening to my explanation and only repeated that “we are a private clinic”. We are already fully aware of this – that is why we were ready to pay before we went. The problem is that we were then told that it was free. In addition to the payment issue, the experience during the HSG examination itself was also not reassuring. The staff came across as stressed and uncertain. There were already 2-3 people in the room, but they still had to call in another person to get the equipment to work properly. This made me even more nervous in an already vulnerable situation. The most worrying thing, however, is that the examination did not give any clear results. The purpose of the HSG was to see if my fallopian tubes were blocked. After the examination, we were told that they could not see my fallopian tubes, or that they “maybe had hidden themselves”. This means that we practically did not get any answer at all to the question of whether they were blocked or not. Despite this, we were referred directly to IVF treatment, without having received a clear message about the results of the examination. It felt rushed and unfounded, especially when the original question could not even be answered. Overall, I experience a lack of professionalism, unclear communication and a lack of accountability – both medically and administratively. I am very disappointed with how this has been handled and unfortunately cannot recommend the clinic based on this experience. If it had been possible to give 0 stars, I would have.
