I have dealt with a few agents from New Property. They are polite and they answer emails, which already puts them above most agencies I have dealt with in Stockholm. But the bias is still there. If you are non-Swedish and have a new company in Sweden, you are simply not a priority. I understand that newcomers must prove they can pay rent. That is normal everywhere and can be solved with a deposit or guarantee. But being asked if another company can “back you up” when you have just moved here feels unrealistic. If the ads are meant only for well-established Swedish businesses, it should be stated clearly. Even securing a viewing can feel like a battle, and there is often a sense that the agent has already decided you cannot afford it. I did secure one viewing and the agent was polite and professional, so I hope I will be taken seriously this time. My point is simple , agencies working in the nicest areas of Stockholm often do not realize how biased their process feels. The result is that the city centre has almost no immigrant-owned small businesses.
