Messy both in the stables before and during the lessons. No staff in the stables, so parents reprimand other parents. Those who have had children at the riding school the longest appoint themselves as mentors without asking if anyone needs or wants help. Large groups of children in the lessons. Not very lively horses, no ban on feeding horses, so they nibble and bite in search of treats even from hands that don't usually feed. Old, worn equipment (saddles, stirrups...), but what I had the most problem with was that they don't teach gentle horse handling. Here, they give and whip the most from the beginning and then add "nagging" to it when the horse doesn't respond. This can absolutely be a highly subjective layman's opinion, colored by the fact that we ride at other riding schools as well, where the above does not occur.
