Our small group stayed in a lodge in the Tandadalen/Hundfjvallet area 1st week February. Note:- the resort is run by Skistar and is cashless so all purchases need to be by card . We used Revolut so fine. Download the Skistar App from play store which covers all of your resort info and purcasing needs. The EasyJet flights from London Gatwick to SCR were very good value(£80rtn) and only 15mins by Salen Bus to the resort (€18each way). Our lodge was a bit outside the main resort centre and left us reliant on the free hourly ski bus (Red) to get to the slopes (ran 8am-6pm daily). The resort links 3 main ski areas. We skied the Tandadalen/Hundfjvallet areas and got our Ski passes equipment and a ski locker at the Tandadalen Store. Ski pass was reasonable (€280 for 6-8days) and ski equipment was good value (ski all slopes for €140). The medium sized lockers are just outside the Skistar building (was circa €60 for the week- held 3sets of skis). Tandadalen slopes are mainly blues/Reds and Blacks and served by the Tandadalen and Pulson Express chair lists and T-bar/button lifts. There is one token Green run on the mountain (15) but the top and bottom sections I would say are more like a medium Blue so be careful, and not much easier than the adjacent Blue 16. The 4,5,6 Blues serviced by the Pulsen Express chairlift are nice and wide reasonable gradient and there is a good little restaurant at the bottom of the runs. We decided to give the Hundfjvallet area a visit and so took the button lift/drag from near ski hire shop over (H14). This area is serviced by 3 chair lifts and one is heated with bubble screen ( West express). This side has a couple of Green beginner runs 23/14 (for kids) and 6 (nice gentle slope to bottom). Blue 5 is mostly very similar to Green 6 except for steep bottom but beginners can divert back onto 6 and avoid the steeper slope. The Reds 15,16,17 are all close and nice runs. We also skied Black 3 which was nice as good snow cover. Generally we found all of the runs were well groomed and the snow was great. The weather was cold -8 to -15 compared to say the Alps but was ok as long as you were well wrapped up. Mary's restaurant at the bottom is good for lunch (€24 for burger/fries and small beer). Generally the restaurants across the area close 6pm latest so Apres ski is a bit limited. Alcoholic drinks are a bit pricey €9 for mild beer and €15 for vodka+coke or similar spirits). Note:- you can buy beers up to 3.5% alcohol at the local supermarkets but nearest Off licence for wines/spirits is in Salen. We tended to cook evening meals at our lodge which saved on overall costs. People vere very friendly and would consider revisiting again, maybe later in season (warmer?) and get accommodation closer to the slopes.
