Warning to other customers: I chose MekoPartner because of their offer of interest-free installment payments via Resurs Bank, combined with a competitive price and the possibility of renting a car. However, when I was supposed to pay, I was forced to pay the full amount of 8,000 SEK in cash, even though I had already been approved for installment payments and a credit check had been carried out. The garage refused to pay in installments and referred to the fact that it “is on the website”, but at the same time claimed that they do not offer this and that the staff did not know how to handle it. The rental car was also substandard: a van with warning lights on for ABS and anti-skid, metallic clanking noises when braking and over bumps, dirty and smelled bad. This made the car unsuitable for driving and may have constituted a road safety risk, with potential fines if the police had carried out an inspection. This created both financial stress and frustration. If the amount had been greater than 8,000 SEK, for example 30,000 SEK, the situation would have been even more serious. I advise others not to rely on their advertised installment offer. I have raised the matter with MekoPartners head office, and we will see how they handle the situation and the customer experience.
