We came for the day spa and also had breakfast and lunch at the hotel. The spa was very nice: beautiful setting and clean and relaxing, with a nice assortment of pools and sauna etc. The outdoor pool especially was quite beautiful. Even the changing rooms were nicely organized. That said, the food was disappointing. The breakfast buffet was a mediocre mix of Swedish and Japanese items, but I was most shocked by the poor quality of beverages - in a Japanese themed hotel one would expect an assortment of excellent quality Japanese teas. Where was the hojicha, genmaicha, sencha assortment that I would have thought should be a basic. The tea selection was terrible, the one type of green tea bag very bland. Only in the spa tea lounge did they have a nice genmaicha, so why is this not in the restaurants? As for lunch, we had the bento box, and this too was disappointing. The rice was sweetened too much, the meats covered in mayonnaise. All in all the cuisine felt very inauthentic and geared more towards Swedish tastes, which is fine if one were in a Swedish restaurant, but disappointing in a Japanese one. I would give 5 stars for the spa itself, but 2 for food, so I land at 3ish
