Some stuffs of this bank might have strong discrimination against normal individuals from other countries. I arrived here to apply for an account but they asked me impatiently “how long will you be here?”, then told me “you need to wait for eight weeks”. After waiting for several weeks, they asked me a lot of private information, and told me that they had no partnership with the country I came from, and I had to prove where my money was from even it has been there for more than 3 years, also they could not understand why I could have savings ( I had worked for many years, I could not understand why they don’t understand people can have savings, and how could people keep track of every single record years before. ), and I was still rejected rudely even when I told them I might not transfer money here and only needed a BankID. This bank is awful and deeply ruined my impression of Sweden. If you are considering coming to Sweden, you really need to think carefully because even your basic needs may not be met. In many cases like renting, you cannot use your credit card, you have to open a local bank account, transfer your money here and pay the bank fee, then pay your rent through local bank, but some bank stuffs like this one may not want you to have a bank account here. This country heavily relies on BankID, in many cases like applying for a local phone number or login to some local websites, you have to have a BankID, but the stuffs from the banks like this one don’t want to you to have it. They claim multiculturalism but in fact create lots of barriers and treat you bad and unfairly to make it hard for you to live here.
Stuffs here never want to speak English back even though the customers speak English to them and they know the customers don’t speak Swedish. Things were not like this before.
