Avoid JRL BIL AB! We are very dissatisfied and honestly feel cheated. The first phone contact was pleasant and we were told that the price of the motorhome had been reduced due to many damages and non-functioning parts: cracked taillight, damaged paint, worn seats, worn toilet with cracked shower, a previous moisture damage (which according to the seller should have been fixed), as well as problems with locks, radio, garage and much more. A vehicle valued at approximately 380,000 SEK was sold to us for 323,000 SEK – reasonable considering the damages. Bought as a DIY without warranty but we approved it as we thought the seller was honest with the car's condition description. We asked two crucial questions: is there any moisture? and is the engine running well? The seller assured that there was no moisture and that the engine ran "like a pearl". Even before the visit, we were surprised when we were forced to pay a 10% non-refundable deposit. We still trusted their honesty and paid. When we got there, the owner was on vacation – just when we were supposed to see and buy the car, he was on a plane, so contact with him was impossible. When we opened the hood and started the engine, it soon started to run very unevenly. The salesman then claimed that “we must have disconnected some cable because it ran without a problem yesterday” – a completely absurd and unacceptable accusation. His colleagues “fiddled around a bit” and claimed that they had put something back in that we had allegedly pulled out. Nevertheless, the engine continued to run poorly. We also noticed fresh, carelessly applied silicone around the roof. When we asked again about moisture, the salesman assured us again that there was none – even though no tests had been done and we were not allowed to remove any moldings to check. The car was parked indoors, so it was difficult to see everything properly. Despite the engine problem, we were still willing to buy the car, but at a slightly lower price. After 30 minutes of texting and calling, the seller only lowered the price by 500 SEK. We accepted anyway and bought the car – as long as there really was no moisture, which the seller confirmed again. At home, we removed the moldings and then came the big shock: the entire rear and roof were like a soaked sponge. Water was leaking from everywhere – from windows, lights, moldings, everywhere. When we contacted JRL BIL AB, they started denying everything and saying that “we just buy cars, wash them, vacuum them and resell them – we are not responsible for hidden defects”. Even though we bought the car as a DIY, we believe that you should not withhold such crucial information, and moisture is not something you can easily discover when the car is inside and the seller does not let you check it properly. We contacted the Swedish Consumer Agency, which recommended that we move forward as we are 100% right. We even offered to share the repair cost or fix it cheaper abroad, but the seller did not want to take any responsibility at all. If you want to buy a motorhome without hidden defects – buy anywhere, just not from JRL BIL AB. We absolutely do not recommend them, even to the most desperate buyer. But if you buy a car from them, it is important that the seller always stands next to you and looks at your hands! Remember that!
