Kastanjegården is an excellent place. We have been there mid August with two adults and two small children. The mix of the vast playground consisting of play houses, a trampolin and the pool makes it easy for holidays with children (literally: open them the door and let them play, no traffic!) and the accomodation itself offers all the comfort for to have some calm and farmhouse-charming days. In addition, Maria and her husband are dedicated and giving hosts. 5 out of 5 stars, we come back when planning holidays in Österlen.

We stayed two nights at Emma’s c/o Söraby in the first half of August with two adults and two small children. The main intention was to visit Vimmerby and Astrid Lindgrens Värld but at the same time to have an accommodation which lays outside the touristic noise. Being one hour away by car, Emma exactly ticks this box. She has created a superb, charming place with her spacious and romantic tents. Both mornings we woke up to the sound of cranes, courting on surrounding grass fields. Breakfast is tasty and takes place in a re-dedicated old barn, which is extraordinarily invitive and individually designed. The products in the small boutique are worth a visit as well. Emma is highly invested and supportive to enable the most pleasant stay for her guest. For fresh water showering and toilet we drove to Eksjö Campground (15mins by car), a shower card costs 10€ and can be used over several days. All in all five out of five stars for Emma, a really great place.
