Spa expensive for the size of the overall experince: The facilities at Fjällnäs are great if not limited (small pool and no common sauna) particularly the plunge pool situated right in the lake was great. Taking that cold dip is an absolute thrill, and following it up with a soak in the hot outdoor pool is a highlight of the experience. The sauna is impressively huge, and I really appreciated how spacious the changing area is; there is plenty of room to balance while putting on your pants without constantly bumping into other people. However, the management seriously needs to consider implementing a strict age policy or at least designated family hours. My visit was significantly undercut by a family with two children, around 5 or 6 years old, who treated the entire spa like a playground. While the parents were relaxing in the sauna, the kids were running amok and using the pool with goggles on, which was incredibly annoying for anyone seeking a chill atmosphere. To make matters worse, they were constantly eating and leaving unfinished fruit all over the place, making a premium spa feel more like a food waste bin than a clean sanctuary. It is unfair to guests who come for tranquility, and it puts the staff in an impossible position to manage. Even if children are technically "supervised," it doesn't work. Fjällnäs should really be an over-18s destination to preserve the quiet, high-end experience it promises.
If you find yourself in Funäsdalen, a visit to Skoogs is an absolute must. The vibe is exactly what you want in the mountains, but the food and hospitality take it to another level. The service was tip-top and simply amazing, making the whole evening feel seamless and welcoming from the moment we walked in. The menu is a total winner. The steak tartar is super tasty—perfectly balanced and clearly made with top-tier ingredients. We also tried the pizzas, which are incredible, easily some of the best you'll find in the region with a perfect crust and great toppings. To finish, the desserts are rich and tasty, I do wish there were larger portions to satisfy my appetite because the flavors were so good I just wanted more! Overall, it’s a fantastic spot that nails the balance between comfort and quality. The loos are also decent, nice smelling and 3 ply TP. Worth a trip before or after your meal or even if you dont eat, its a cozy place to toilet.

Delicious. Great ambience. Great amount of space and we'll layed out around the courtyard, inside and in the tent. Pizzas were fantastic, big enough to sustain an average adult man with a large appetite. Downsides to this place is the lack of toilets considering the amount of footfall this kind of place may receive. Also if you have no internet I am unsure how you can access the menus and even with this issue I can't tell you if it translates to other languages.

So many wasps. Great idea to have a buffet of sweet treats and cakes for Kr89 but it attracts a fair few of the stripped pests. Pretty expensive but great location. Nice seating all over the property. Lush garden area outback. Great chia latte and ok chocolate ball. Chocolate ball was Kr 25 which is a bit expensive considering. 3 small well stocked toilets (one ply) but it seems the people using them enjoyed their time or are just making room for the buffet.
The concierge was a legend. Really helpful in multiple languages. Site is clean and also stunning location great beach. The showers and toilets play local radio which is actually really nice considered your next to someone taking a dump. Facilities are clean and well stocked. Access via a pass so don't forget the key. The food from the hole in the wall is also rather good. The lad in the window 2as very helpful and cheerful making the food purchase much more pleasant.
Helpful staff who gave us their equipment for Kr600. Gave us a map and a detailed option of what to do and where to try get too. Lovely islands to explore and sunbath on. Next time I'd love to camp out and the younger staff member who welcomed us back told us that there is plenty of options he can recommend. Cleaning the kayak was a bit annoying considering the price.
Lovely location and very tasty food. Yeah nice view. Starter was the råbiff which was the best item of the entire meal. Mains- Nice to eat fish by the sea, very good bit of cod. Chicken was a bit too sweet in its BBQ sauce for my taste. Wish I had gone for the steak as I saw it delivered to another table.
Great atmosphere, great music at a good volume setting an good ambience. Reasonably priced The burgers were lovely. I'd recommend Fjällbacken burger. I was left thirsty after the amount of salt on the chips. Good thing they had a good selection of drinks. Service was fast considering how busy it was. Only 15min wait for food and the server was really pleasant with his perfect English and hospitality. Toilets were not inspected on my visit.
