My car was towed there by the ADAC partner SOS International. I had to rely on fellow travelers and therefore didn't go to the garage, assuming the ADAC would take care of it. The vehicle was initially diagnosed with engine failure. I then requested a return transport from the ADAC. The garage then informed me that it was only the oil pump. After consulting with the ADAC, I opted for the return transport and the repair at home. After two months of back and forth with the ADAC, SOS International, the garage, and me, the car is finally back with me. The only problem was the garage. As soon as the ADAC called and explained what we wanted, they immediately hung up. My emails were simply ignored. Despite failing to repair the car, the garage is demanding almost €400 in repair costs. I expected my car to arrive in good condition. Half the engine is in the back of the trunk, and the tires are only hanging on by two lug nuts. I advise every ADAC customer who is towed to this garage to clearly and unequivocally refuse the repair in writing and to get the car out of there as quickly as possible. Then have everything done at their local garage. My experience was an absolute disaster. I can't recommend this garage to anyone, especially not to anyone who relies on their vehicle. I was lucky that my parents had a second car to spare.
