Jag förväntar mig att en turistattraktion är i gott skick under högsäsong. Men i fyren sitter du fast vid ledstången från första steget; gammal smuts och spindelväv finns i varje hörn, och genom fönstren kan du bara gissa på havet …
I expect a tourist attraction to be in good condition during peak season. However, in the lighthouse, you're stuck to the handrail from the very first step; old dirt and cobwebs are found in every corner, and through the windows, you can only guess at the sea rather than see it. In the cafe, two unmotivated teenagers are boredly doing their summer jobs; it's self-service. For the hefty sum of 50 SEK (about 5 euros), you get lukewarm, stale coffee and some kind of Danish. Oh yes, the round trip costs 125 SEK (about 12.50 euros) per person; the ferryman doesn't seem to have to stick to the "schedule." No, dear Swedes, good tourism doesn't work that way.
