Nice nurses at the reception but Lena is one of the most unreliable pediatricians the city has seen in a long time. Realize in retrospect that we should have waited to get an appointment with the doctor we were initially recommended. Was met by a rather uninterested doctor with difficulty showing empathy and responsiveness, initially gave a stiff smile but overall seemed more interested in getting done quickly to do something else. Purely diminishing in contact by giving hasty monotonous textbook answers to symptoms we had recounted without examining the child to form an opinion. What is the purpose of coming from BVC to a specialist when the specialist in question does not say or do anything wiser than the doctor at BVC two months earlier? Announced that a referral can be written further if symptoms persist in six months "but I don't need to look in the nose and throat now but try treating with cortisone and see if it gets better" was the answer I received. I have little interest in giving a small child corticosteroid spray without the specialist examining him and then giving me as a parent his opinion. I have now switched to a clinic in the inner city where the doctor at every visit voluntarily carries out a thorough examination depending on symptoms, just as it should be so that nothing of value is missed. It doesn't get any stranger than that, you might think.
