I’ve visited Stadskällaren twice based on recommendations from friends, but unfortunately, both experiences left me disappointed. On my first visit, I ordered the signature burger, which arrived burnt. Hoping for a better experience, I returned and ordered the plank steak on the waiter’s recommendation. Unfortunately, the steak was dry and cold, despite my request for medium rare. The accompanying sauce was also cold, and only the fries were served warm. Overall, I didn’t enjoy my steak dining experience. However, one highlight of my meal was the Rhubarb dessert. Despite usually not being a fan of Rhubarb, I was pleasantly surprised by how well it was prepared. Served warm, the Rhubarb blended nicely with the almond cake and crumble, creating a dessert that was both comforting and delicious. The ambiance inside the restaurant and its bar is quite inviting, making it a nice spot for drinks. I’ve heard rumors that the food quality here can be inconsistent, with the quality varying depending on whether the chef is present. This might explain why my friends had positive experiences while mine were less satisfactory. My suggestion would be to visit Stadskällaren for drinks and to enjoy the atmosphere, perhaps after having eaten elsewhere. If you do decide to dine here, it might be worth asking if the chef is in the house. On a positive note, the stout they serve is quite good.
I’m excited to see a bubble tea cafe in Skellefteå! The cozy and minimalist atmosphere is delightful. During my visit, the classic milk tea with pearls was sold out and the brown sugar milk tea wasn’t available yet, so I tried the taro milk tea with pearls. The tapioca pearls were smooth, soft, and chewy, though a bit less sweet than expected. It would be great to have customizable sweetness levels on the menu, like less sweet, medium sweet, or more sweet. Choices for ice levels—less ice, medium ice, or more ice—would also be a nice addition. The option for warm milk tea is appreciated, as the waiter confirmed when I ordered. The staff were friendly and spoke both Swedish and English fluently. Note that the cup and straw are made of paper, which is due to regulations on plastic products, so it’s best to finish your drink promptly. I’m looking forward to trying the brown sugar milk tea and the classic milk tea on my next visit!
I dined at this place last Friday evening, and my friend booked a table for us. It is highly recommended to book a table, especially on a Friday evening or weekend, as the place was full. We were seated at a table for two. The vibe of the restaurant was nice and cozy. Despite the rain, it was possible to choose outdoor seating, and they offered blankets to keep warm if you were wearing shorts or skirts. There were small coat hangers on the wall near our seats for our jackets, as well as a floor coat hanger near the entrance on the right, which I noticed later. The dinner was courtesy of my friend, but I didn't hold back. I ordered the rib-eye, the most expensive dish on the menu, and it was excellent. The meat was tender and flavorful, and the presentation was impressive. The side of fries was also good, with big, crunchy cuts topped with shredded cheese and parsley. For dessert, I chose the Swedish sockerkaka. The combination of the cake, lemon curd, and fresh strawberries was delightful. Inside the restaurant, there was a nice-looking wine cellar, and they had a separate menu for alcoholic drinks, which you should check out. I didn't order any drinks as I wasn't in the mood. Our booking time was for two hours (19:15-21:15 in my case), but we were able to stay until 22:00 before leaving. It seemed that each waiter was responsible for specific tables. I expected not to have to leave my seat to order dessert or for my friend to pay, but it was quite busy when we arrived. As a result, the timing for our main course and dessert orders was a bit off. I had to go to the bar to order dessert, as it would have taken too long for a waiter to attend to our table. I didn't use the restroom, but it seemed they only had one, as I saw one person come and go after another.

This was my first time eating at this place. When I walked in, I went to the counter on my right. I passed by an empty buffet area. Maybe it was because it was the weekend and the summer vacation atmosphere was still here. I picked a dish from the menu on the board above the counter. If you'd like, you can ask for a menu and sit down to decide. I ordered fried rice with chicken and shrimp. I didn't have to wait long before my fried rice was ready. The portion was large, and I felt full and satisfied. I think of this fried rice as the "ketchup fried rice" due to the strong sweet and tangy ketchup sauce. I would definitely visit this restaurant again to try out other dishes.
I came to this Pentecostal Church (Pingstkyrkan in Swedish) for the second time, and both visits were wonderful. The people I met were really nice and kind. The first time, a lady and a man warmly welcomed me, even though my Swedish is not very good. They were understanding and still willing to talk to me. The sermon was delivered nicely and in simple language, so it was easy to follow. They also had a translation device for those who needed to hear the sermon in English. Today, on my second visit, there wasn't a big service but a small gathering they call "Sommarandakt" in Swedish. It felt like a family gathering. Anyone could share their prayer requests, and everyone prayed together. I also met someone kind who warmly welcomed me and happily answered all my questions about the church and its activities. If you ever go to this church and have any difficulties or questions, don't hesitate to talk to someone there. I'm sure they'll be more than happy to help you out.
A small local restaurant with good service, food, and overall experience. Huge variety of Thai foods to choose from and desserts are delicious as well. Although I like spicy foods, I must admit that some dishes were so fiery that I couldn't handle them. Given that it follows a buffet and hot pot concept, the price can be expensive if you cannot eat a lot. You should skip several meals before visiting Hongthai. Everything is so tasty and you cannot restraint yourself from having all of the dishes. I'm planning to return whenever I crave Asian cuisine.
