I visited the Mekopartner workshop to get help with a noise from the car, which I clearly explained came from the engine. Despite this, the workshop representative insisted that the problem was due to worn wheel bearings, without even carrying out a proper troubleshooting. I felt that he was trying to convince me of a costly procedure - replacing the wheel bearings for around 10,000 kronor - without being able to substantiate the diagnosis with facts. Just a couple of weeks later, the engine noise became significantly worse, which led to me having to urgently take the car to an authorized BMW workshop. There it was quickly established that the fault was not in the wheel bearings at all, but that the pulley had broken, something that should have reasonably been discovered during a serious review from the beginning. It is worrying that a workshop, which is supposed to stand for expertise and reliability, does not even carry out a basic troubleshooting before proposing an extensive and expensive repair. It felt like a pure attempt to cheat me out of money. I highly recommend looking for a more serious and professional repair shop, this is not a place I will return to!
