Eh, this is a tricky one as this is a lovely location. The food is good and reasonably priced (for Åre). The staff work really hard and are rushed off their feet. But every single time we go here (and we’ve been going for 10+ years) we have the same frustrating experience: if you arrive after 12:00 you will wait for a table. Often an hour or more in the busiest weeks. What’s frustrating though is the front desk always, always low balls the waiting time. 40 mins we were told today. In reality more than an hour. It’s a popular restaurant with astonishing views so it’s rightly popular. But it blows my mind that they don’t turn tables. We watched a couple who had finished their meal sit with empty drinks for half an hour with dozens of people waiting to sit down. The cheap, flimsy garden furniture tables inside are super disappointing and create a real “two tier” feel in the dining room. I get that they are trying to pack in as many people as possible but it’s a crappy experience sitting at them. Bluntly, needs to be better managed.
