We were looking for a place near our home to celebrate our daughter's 2nd birthday and saw the newly opened venue Zalin. We went there to talk and agreed on a price of 3,000 SEK for 25 people with some snacks, and paid half in advance. We said we would arrive at 12 noon and stay until 5 pm at the latest. We were also allowed to do a little decoration. When we arrived at the venue on November 8th, we saw that we had been given completely different tables than the ones we were initially shown, but we didn't say anything. While we were decorating, the person we had spoken to, Yakup, came and asked when we would start. He mentioned that there would be another party that evening. I kindly explained that we were waiting for our guests and that he didn't need to worry because we would be ready by 5 pm. He then firmly replied that 5 pm wouldn't work, which surprised us because that was the time we had agreed on from the start. If tonight's event required so much preparation, they shouldn't have accepted our booking in the first place. At 4pm he suddenly started to rush to remove things from our table and take down our decorations. He didn't say anything directly, but the way he did it created an uncomfortable feeling for both us and our friends. It felt like a kind of psychological pressure, almost as if we were no longer welcome. This day, which was supposed to be nice and memorable, instead became stressful and uncomfortable. Unfortunately, we didn't get the service we had paid for. In addition, we had agreed for 25 people, but the snacks weren't even for 20, even though we actually only had 20 guests. Still, they charged full price. In conclusion, I will never go back there and cannot recommend the venue to anyone. I hardly want to pass by their door anymore.
