We have had significant problems with Release Finans in connection with a leasing agreement. Although the agreement clearly stated a 24-month leasing period, the company chose to invoice an additional three months beyond the agreement period – without any valid legal basis. When we questioned this, we received no factual answers. Instead, Release Finans referred to internal interpretations that are completely contrary to their own terms of agreement. In order to avoid late payment interest and debt collection, we finally paid the last invoice under protest. The matter has now been reported to the Swedish Financial Supervisory Authority. This is not an isolated incident – several other customers report similar problems: - Forced contract extensions - Invoices after the end of the agreement period - Unjustified demands and failure to respond to complaints Our recommendation: read the agreement carefully, save all communication and question EVERYTHING from them.
