The reception I received at the emergency room on October 14, 2025 was absolutely amazing. The doctor and team were absolutely wonderful and helpful. I came in with stomach pain and vomiting and was immediately directed to a room. It didn't take long before the tests and examination began. Since I was in a lot of pain, I was constantly given help with pain relief. The doctor probably thought from the beginning that it was a kidney stone, which it was, but she still wanted to wait for an X-ray result. It showed kidney stones. But, still, she wanted to check with a colleague. This colleague had actually stopped for the day but was still at work and answered the phone. They decided that the doctor would call me the next day. I was able to go home without pain but somewhat dazed. The next day, the colleague/doctor called and told me that I needed surgery. Can you do it tomorrow, he asked. Somewhat puzzled, I of course answered yes. So on Thursday I went to Angered Community Hospital and had surgery. Once again, I met absolutely wonderful staff. Happy and cute. So, a big thank you to the doctor and team at the emergency room, a big thank you to the surgery team at Angered and a big thank you and a big hug to the Urologist in Alingsås. You are all worth your weight in gold. You took your time and I felt very well treated. Today is Friday, October 17, 2025 and I am starting to think about what I have been through this week. It has been very upsetting. But the healthcare system in Sweden and especially Alingsås has shown that it works in an excellent way. Thank you, thank you, thank you
