I was (unfortunately only) travelling through for one night in this wonderful gem. The location is peaceful and quiet. The owners are down-to-earth and very nice! My room was clean and tidy, without the typical signs of wear, as was the bathroom. I slept wonderfully, even with the window open it was almost dead quiet. The house (approx. 120 years old) was a poorhouse for many years, was then used as a conference centre and has been in use as a private B&B since 2006, which is lovingly furnished (including the history of the house). In the public areas there are board and community games, table football and a table tennis table. Outside there is also a volleyball court/badminton area. Literature is also available. The breakfast is simple, but fresh and I find it absolutely sufficient for a B&B (bread, cheese, sausage, boiled egg, muesli, coffee, juices, fruit, yoghurt....). If something is empty, it is freshly replenished. The owners are very friendly and speak German as well as Swedish and English. Free car parking is available. Right next door is a wonderful wooden church from the Baroque period. A homemade dinner is also served only if you book in advance (mandatory!). Thank you for letting me be your guest! See you soon! I was a guest at Nordic Discovery and booked a 7-day kayak tour with various camping and paddling accessories about 45 days in advance. I also booked the transfer before and after from Kopparberg railway station to Kloten and back, as well as a night in a guest room including breakfast before and after the kayak tour. Long story short: everything worked out perfectly. The communication and reliability were first class! Because a change in the weather was announced on the last day of the kayak, I asked during the tour whether I could shorten the tour by one day and therefore bring forward the booked night by one day. it worked, without any problems. Thank you! The accommodation reminded me a bit of my grandmother's house and had its own charm, the booked breakfast was great, everything I needed for a good start to the day was there, the kitchen is equipped with cooking utensils, fridge and freezer. The very international team is young and super nice. I had a great holiday with lots of experiences! When I travelled the outskirts very quietly early in the morning or in the evening by kayak, I was even lucky enough to see a moose once, as well as 4 cranes. You can see traces of beavers everywhere. You shouldn't expect luxury, but solid and well-kept accommodation with a very well-organised team. I will definitely be back! There is also a small kiosk on site with the most necessary food, drinks, ice lollies etc. Best regards, see you soon!
