The Eskilstuna River is truly the heart of the city. It is incredibly nice to walk along the water, especially on sunny days. For those who like fishing, it is a fantastic place with good opportunities to catch both perch and pike-perch right in the center. It is clean, well-maintained and gives a wonderful feeling of nature even though you are in the city. There are many good places to sit down for a coffee or to cast out your rod. A must visit if you are in Eskilstuna!

If you are looking to become a ventilation technician (Ventilationsmontör), plumber (VVS), or electrician, this is a solid place. Many students report getting job offers directly from their APL (internship) placements before they even graduate. The facilities on Skjulstagatan are modern and the atmosphere is professional. The Bad: It’s not for everyone. If you expect a traditional school with a teacher standing at a blackboard for 8 hours, you’ll be disappointed. A lot of the theory is self-study via their online platform (Omniway). Some students have complained that teachers can be stretched thin, especially in high-demand courses like HVAC or cooling tech. Pros: Excellent career networking and high employment rates. Practical, hands-on workshops that feel like a real job site. Central location in Eskilstuna with easy access. Cons: Heavy reliance on self-study and YouTube/online modules. Instruction is almost entirely in Swedish; you need a good grasp of the language to keep up. Verdict: If you are motivated and want to start working in a trade ASAP, go for it. If you need a lot of 1-on-1 hand-holding, you might find the "independent study" model frustrating.
