We found ourselves a bit peckish late in the evening and decided to grab a pizza from Bistro Lillströmma. Now, I'll preface this by saying we consider ourselves something of "pizza experts," and as such, we tend to be quite critical of pizzas that don't emerge from an authentic Italian wood-fired oven. However, we also appreciate a good effort and unique approaches! From the moment we arrived, the service was incredibly friendly and welcoming, which immediately set a pleasant tone for our visit. As we waited for our order, we were treated to a truly breathtaking moment: the sun began to set over the water, casting a warm, golden glow across the landscape. It was a simply stunning view that elevated the entire experience. Our pizzas were indeed tasty, and we were even pleasantly surprised by an adventurous combination: a pizza with banana! It was definitely worth trying for the novelty alone. For those seeking an authentic Italian pizza experience, this might not be your traditional go-to, but if you're open to something different, it's certainly an interesting option. A small, constructive tip for the chef, from one pizza enthusiast to another: the pizzas could benefit from a little more time in the oven to achieve that perfect crispness. Additionally, while generosity is often appreciated, we found the toppings to be a touch too abundant. Sometimes, a slightly less lavish hand can allow the individual flavors to shine through more clearly and prevent the crust from becoming soggy. Overall, Bistro Lillströmma offers a delightful and surprisingly creative take on pizza. It's clear there's a passion for flavor here, and with a few minor adjustments, the pizzas could truly reach their full potential. We commend the willingness to experiment and create unique culinary experiences. Coupled with the warm service and incredible sunset views, it was a memorable evening. We'd certainly recommend it for those looking for something beyond the ordinary!
