Flawful, costly product and apparently non-existent customer service. I have had the CTC heat pump 614M model for just under 2 years and I am overall happy with the performance of the pump. However I find the build-quality and design to be poor and not in line with what I would expect from a heat pump that claims to be among the best. I live in Denmark and have had CTC’s Danish service provider Gastech take a look at the pump. Gastech installed a new propeller and grill, as the metal grill in front of the propeller was starting to rust after just 1,5 years. Gastech also switched the screws and plastic grips that hold the top cover of the 614M, as these were not gripping, the screws were rusty and it just doesn't seem to live up to its intended function (holding the cover in place) or to be functional for very long. I also made Gastech aware that rust is showing in parts of the metal structure of the 614M and that the overall design seems flawful and the top cover leads water down the inside of the side panels. Gastech told me I'd have to address my concerns directly to CTC, so I did. I still haven’t heard back from CTC and so my concerns with the quality of the product I have bought from CTC, leaves me fearing that I might not have the well performing (and costly) heat source I thought I had bought for years to come. Is that your version of “one of the best” CTC? - It is certainly one of the most costly.
