Rörande, kitschigt och faktiskt campig ställe. Bra service, ärlig mat, underbart pris (biff, pommes frites, sallad, allt för 8 euro!)
This is a completely different Mel's than the place by the sea. That one sparkled in the central square, tempted with neon lights and crazy looped rockabilly music. I came across this one while driving aimlessly around the industrial areas of Visby today, listening to the sad soundtrack of "Blade Runner" from an old record, looking at sooty Volvo pickup trucks, faded signs and dirty snowdrifts. And I reached a shamelessly kitschy, touchingly cheap haven. What a place this is! Big burgers, huge work-weary consumers and a silent jukebox. A person wanders around the world, flies somewhere across the ocean and it's nice, it's fine everywhere, but it's best in the middle of the Baltic Sea
