As other reviews have said, a quite eerie experience walking down the old mine adit, especially when it comes to an end with sealed up gate and just showing endless darkness beyond.. A quite chilled walk around this historic mining area, a good way to spend a relaxed Sunday afternoon; plenty of history to read up on, with many signs in both Swedish and English, and the rest easily translatable by any of the phone apps around. Circular walk around was about an hour at a fairly slow pace, taking time to read all the info boards. I do recommend, especially if you are into history or abandoned engineering.
We literally stumbled across this campsite while searching for somewhere to stay after changing our plans on our last day in Sweden. Very spacious campsite with generous pitch sizes, which cost us approx. 312 SEK for a night with our campervan (1 night in low season without electricity). Good sized kitchen on site, and clean showers and toilet facilities. Price included the showers. The campsite is situated right next to Sör-Älgen lake, which is fantastic for a swim, albeit brisk depending on time of year. Plenty of ducks and red squirrels around. For approx. 340 SEK you can book the wood-fired sauna for 3 hours. Combining this with a lake swim, brilliant. Overall a very quiet, spacious, and calm campsite.
Loch Ness is everything a snug pub should be - cosy, warm and welcoming, priced well, good music, and tucked away down a side street you’d almost miss it. Hopping across Stockholm via way of navigating its bars and pubs, the reviews for Loch Ness drew me in straight away and I would just recommend to read those. Nothing further can be said that describes it better. Immediately upon walking up to the bar we were greeted warmly and, despite our very poor attempts at Swedish, recommended several of the beers on offer. It was half full on our arrival, petered out slightly, but by our second pint it was full and had a vibrant atmosphere. We only popped in for one beer before we would continue our walk across Stockholm, but it was soon three beers later. Would definitely add this to my must-visit pubs of Stockholm.
Loch Ness är allt en mysig pub ska vara - mysig, varm och välkomnande, bra priser, bra musik och undangömd på en sidogata som nästan skulle missa. …
