A small report after optimizing my A6 Allroad -16. It feels like it became a much more fun car to drive. It has noticeably better acceleration but also much smoother and faster gear changes. It used to be a bit sluggish in gear changes, especially from a standstill and that is gone now. When it comes to fuel consumption, it is difficult to analyze the outcome. But after a week of driving it seems that it is a little more frugal overall. A little thirstier on cold starts and the first few kilometers, but then a little more frugal if you drive economically. I drove 200 kilometers with a heavy trailer this week (about 1500-2000kg) with an average consumption of 0.82. That is really good for this car. In addition, it is significantly more powerful at low revs and high gear. On moderate hills it stayed in 7th gear. Almost as if I didn't have the trailer on. I haven't noticed any problems. Overall, a very successful optimization!
