En av få ärliga cykelreparationsställen jag har stött på. Extremt transparent vad gäller priser och tekniker, och det är skönt att veta att servicekostnaden alltid är överkomlig med tanke på produktpriserna.

Kalmar annonserar sig med sloganen "kom som du är" - som inte kunde komma närmare sanningen. En av de mest välkomnande nationerna för internationella studenter där engelska är de facto huvudspråket (även bland infödda som talar sinsemellan), med en tydlig identitet och representation bland sina samarbetspartier inom AF.
Jag lämnade in min cykel i början av året för kedjereparation. Bara 3 månader senare uppstod samma problem. Jag lämnade in den till en annan cykelbutik, och de visade mig hur dåligt monterad kedjan var. Dessutom hade jag berättat för Ågrens …
I handed in my bike at the start of the year for chain repair. Just 3 months later the same issue emerged. I handed it in to another bike shop, they showed me how poorly put the chain was. Furthermore, I had told Ågrens that I had removed one of the bolts from around my chain because I had to fix the chain while biking to their store, as it was in such poor condition, and yet they charged me, without my consent, for replacing the bolt. When asked why they didn't comply to any reason other than it had to be done, and they didn't even show me how much such "replacement" would cost, as they gladly said it would be added to the price. Furthermore they told me they did some more extra stuff, without consulting me ONCE nor fully explaining why, and charged what would be beyond any reasonable amount. When I went to any other repair shop the bike would still be fine after 6+ months and daily usage, at Ågrens, the bike would be sub-optimal even after 3 weeks. Such doesn't include the hefty price for service, for a poor quality that could have easily been done by an amateur or friend. I don't think anyone should even go there if they have the possibility to go to other places. Overall, Lund has some terrible bike repair shops and I know plenty of international students getting screwed over, but Ågrens really fulfills the experience of getting screwed by a bike repair shop. Poor quality, high price, and poor communication.
