Excellent place to gather late at night, especially on the weekends, after other places have closed. A nice crowd and great bartenders.
A single tower remaining from a medieval castle dating from the 1300s. Its prominence persists, with many people simply drawn to this impressive and curious structure.

Maten här är utsökt och personalen uppmärksam, hjärtlig och engagerad i kundnöjdhet. Vi trodde att fiskgrytan bättre kunde kallas en fiskgryta, men utan att tveka, den var helt enkelt förvånansvärt god.
En sådan minnesvärd plats att sitta på en sommarkväll. Mycket hjälpsam och tillmötesgående personal.
Workers at the nearby Andrarum alunbrucket (alum quarry/mine), along with their families, once lived in these lovingly preserved buildings (after operating for more than two centuries, the alunbrucket shut down in 1912). Beautiful setting with outdoor seating; with the doors and windows open on warm occasions, the indoor seating is almost as good as the outdoor seating (with less wind). Delicious food as well. During my second visit, our entire party of six was very pleased with their meals.
This church dates back to the 1100s. Added upon over the centuries, this building served a sizable local population employed by the alunbrucket (alum quarry/mine) from the late 1600s until 1912, when the alunbrucket ceased operations. Although the Andrarum Kyrka and adjoining cemetery continue to be well maintained, the building is only occasionally used nowadays for religious services. A remarkable late-medieval fortress and castle. It’s worth a visit even when closed, as the courtyard is readily accessible. It’s even better to pay the admission and to see Glimmingehus’s interior, enjoy the view from several stories high, and to learn from the interpretive exhibits. Jag gick förbi bryggeriet men det var inte öppet för provsmakning. Jag hade dock nöjet att njuta av stouten och pilsnern medan jag var i Longyearbyen, där det är den lokala ölen.
