En väldigt kall lördag. Bara restaurangen öppen med inställningar delsystem på 40 minuter. Personalen var vänlig nog, utan alltför mycket entusiasm, så vi gick alla därifrån och åkte till Växjö för lunch.

Directly on the harbor. Convenient car parking opposite. The top level via the escolator has beautifully cared for toilets near to very nice Fika cafe. My wife and I enjoy the many varied shops from the apoteket near the entrance. Good value in pleasant surroundings. Well done 👏
Charming surrounds, with tree shading, ample outdoor seating. We had the speciality dish being waffles, double whipped cream and homemade jams. Drink a good strong Swedish coffee. The toilets were kept clean and accessible. The main feature was a wide expanse of the Alster river below. Other families were enjoying the excellent mini golf. Just a small distance from Alstermo out on the Målerås road. We will certainly call again.

Without doubt, this is a jewel in the Småland countryside. The kitchen served an excellent, full style Swedish Fika at a moderate price. The boutique contained a wide selection of flowers, plants and bushes. Fresh local eggs were also on offer. Parking was ample, and good spacious clean toilets also accommodated people with limited mobility. Our hostess was called Lola, who was very helpful with a keen sense of humour.

Willys has a different concept to most other supermarkets, in that it tends to lean towards a greater variety of ethnic items. My wife and I use it for this reason, particularly as we lived in the Middle East for a few years. They also keep a deep frozen stock of New Zealand lamb, with whole shoulders and small leg cuts at competitive prices. We buy our PG tips English Breakfast tea there. One very good point is that the bakery delivers good quality sourdough break, which is also shown as the well known Levain. Good car parking is free as a customer for up to hours, and therefore one is able to visit the apoteke, and the « Bookhandel » in Storgatan
Wonderfully good fish products. Excellent selections and moderate prices. Much care and consideration given to the parking area along with seriously managed clean toilets . Although we did not use the café, it looked cosy and warm with nice aromas. We will be regular customers here… well done !!
This branch of Lidl is so refreshing for Nybro. Location and parking is excellent and can be shared with the famous System Bolaget also. Lidl has a good diverse selection of fresh breads, including the sourdough Levain.. the chilled fish with cuts of lamb, pork and beef are neatly displayed for easy selection. There is also a good range of international sausages including bratwurst. The store needs several visits in order to familiarise ones self for best selection and personal needs.
This is one of those amazing and remote settlements to be found in Sweden. We thought of how the 3 or 4 families survived here throughout the winters. The ground does not welcome cultivation, and therefore much care must have been used to preserve what grew there. The buildings were well made for protection, and evidence of livestock was clear behind the typical Swedish style “ yashgård” traditional wooden fencing. We did not have a nav. System in our car, but careful map reading was easy enough. We pick nicked at some well placed tables and benches. There were no visible toilets, but the forest offered good facilities. This is well worth a visit!
We drove into the historic village of Kråkmåla and noticed the ” Church Open” sign, so elected to stop our journey and call in. Lots of ample parking for our trusty Volvo! We enetered the churchyard vis the Eastern Gate arch to see a most beautifully kept area of well tended grass and a delightful collection of brightly coloured flowers on the well tended gravestones. We were met st the door by two warm and very helpful people namely Britt and Stefan. Britt explained to me in good English, some very interesting facts on the Saintly wood carved figures inside, one of which was of Sant Birgitta and her journey to Rome. We were then invited to have a delicious ” fika”, very traditionally Swedish coffee and delicious home made patisseries. SWISH or cash was accepted for a contribution, but certainly NOT obligatory. Upon leaving, We could not help reflect why tourists in general do not avail themselves more of these facilities in fine historic Swedish Churches. By the way, excellent and clean toilets were also available. Thank you Britt and Stefan !!

Really excellent watering hole on our visit to the Salmon Ladders. WE had some wonderfully fresh shrimp open sandwiches, with good strong coffee. The coffee was in the true hospitality of Sweden, in that one could help ones self to more. Needless to say charming people and very clean toilets.
