I can’t say enough good things about this place. I first enquired about the suitability of the place for my extremely anxious dog who doesn’t like other dogs and is very nervous around people. Mike answered almost immediately with a suggestion for the cabin he thought best suited our needs and let me know that cabins are available for a few days in the off-season (high season bookings are for whole weeks) so we could have a short stay just in case the dog was unhappy. After a short discussion with my husband, we decided to book three nights at the end of February. Any questions I had were promptly answered. On arrival, we went to meet Mike who took us to our cabin and showed us around. He had heated up the hot tub for us, which was a really nice touch! The cabin is beautiful..in a wonderful setting. We couldn’t have been happier with our stay. There are lots of nice places to walk but it is also a fantastic place to just go and chill out and enjoy the peace. Our dog was extremely happy..for once he wasn’t glued to my side and took himself off to explore a bit. He had a run in with an electric fence, but apart from that he seemed to be loving every second. The kitchen is well-equipped, everything you need is there. The hot tub and sauna are great and all the firewood is there ready for you. It was so nice to sit and watch the sun go down from the lounge with a cosy fire or from the hot tub. There is a small town nearby with some takeaways and a supermarket. I highly recommend a stay and look forward to visiting again in the future.
