Hello tourists, I highly recommend that you order the Gräddig Souvas. This is a wonderful unique dish made from local ingredients which would cost 3x as much in Stockholm. Souvas is salted, lightly smoked and air-dried reindeer. Served with chanterelle mushrooms and lingonberries and pickled onions which make a nice tart contrast to the creamy sauce. (Grädde = cream) Also sweet potato fries on the side. Way too much food for me personally but irresistible. My husband loved his veggie burger and was grateful that it was not smothered in mayo like in so many other restaurants. Instead the veggie burger had pickled onions and a little guacamole. Good service. They let us add a side of char-grilled vegetables (zucchini and bell pepper) which unfortunately tasted of lighter fluid, but we were happy to have some nice vegetables. Plain but nice atmosphere. Music is low-key covers.
I eat palak paneer at Shanti restaurants several times each week as a guide with Food Tours Stockholm and I love it every time. Each Shanti restaurant has a different focus, and all the food is cooked from scratch with fresh ingredients, including the paneer cheese. This week I also had the Bengali meatballs, mango lassi and Shanti lager at Gossip. The meatballs are made from shredded roasted lamb and the sauce is so delicious! (My photos are of a smaller portion size than usual.)
I am really impressed by, and thankful for, Kjersti's help with my neck and back. After just one appointment, I felt better than I have felt in many years, and the feeling has continued for more than a month after the appointment. Kjersti is so gentle, that one might not imagine that her gentle adjustments would be sufficient to fix a problem. She is thorough with her questions, examination and treatment, so that she gets to the root of the problem, and then helps to resolve it. Highly recommended.
What a pleasant surprise after touring Falun mine to find this pizzeria and bar on the premises. And wow! Delicious pizza! Crust tasty with crispy burnt bits all the way across the bottom. Fresh toppings. Draft beer. What more does one need?
