It’s good to see Stockholm finally has a proper Korean BBQ restaurant despite it offered a modern twist of the cuisine. The food was definitely above average, the pork belly and chicken were marinated properly with good seasonings, and the beef was tender. The side dishes were not bad, it was not the best kimchi I had, but good enough. The fired chicken was a bit dry with a bit too thick coating. Be prepared this is not a value of money place, and the portions were not generous. Besides the set menu, we needed extra dishes to get full. Plus, for everyone’s information, an extra portion of lettuce is 50kr. It would be nice if the ventilation was better, a stronger fan on the table might be helpful.

Stockholm’s new star of Omakase. A combination of exquisite raw materials, polished cooking skills, delicate choices of tableware, warm and professional services made the whole experience a pleasant journey. All the seafoods and fishes served were very fresh and each dish was introduced properly. My personal favorite was the langoustine, the texture was firm with a bit of creaminess, and a hint of sweetness was enhancing the umami of the bite. The chawanmushi was very smooth, with rich ingredients hidden inside adding a variety of flavors. The usage of different types of soya sauce to match with different sushi was right to the point, and it was not too salty as some of other places. They also have a good selection of Sake, and they are very knowledgeable on recommending different sake to match different dishes.

4.5-star in my view, there was still some space for improvement. The chicken sandwich absolutely fantastic, the deep fried chicken was tender and juicy, while the bread was soaked in the aroma of butter. The texture was just right especially for the bread, a bit crispy outside and still fluffy inside. It was pretty heavy dish, but you don’t get too stuffed from it. The pork sandwich was too salty to my taste, the saltiness was overwhelming in the meat, and hard to taste other seasonings with this much salt. The pork was properly cooked softly and the pork meat odor was totally removed, and the paired pickles and coriander were refreshing.

A “lagom” place for Swedish cuisine, I’ve been here for both lunch and dinner and the food quality in general is above average. The deer meat was very tender and juicy, the gamy taste was pleasant and not overwhelming. The cured salmon was a bit stinking fishy, but the fish soup was flavorful. The pricing was very moderate and the atmosphere was chill. However when we were there for dinner, our main course didn’t come until one hour after we finished the starters.

First of all the menus really need to be reprinted, the papers were a bit nasty and my appetite got decreased. The fresh pasta was nice and the beef was tender, but the truffle oil scent was really subtle. The Arrabbiata was a bit plain, not enough layers of flavors in the sauce. I was disappointed that the saffron risotto with lamb was no longer available. The waterfront location was definitely their biggest advantage, I assume a drink in the summertime here would be extra pleasant.

5-star beef tartar, 3-star other dishes. The beef tartar was one of the best I’ve ever had. The meat was hand chopped into slim stripes, which kept the texture of the meat perfect, yet the cut of the meat contained no tendons. The shiitake mushrooms were marinated to sweet and sour flavors, which reduced the greasiness of the dish. The use of the black truffle oil enhanced the aroma of deep fried onions, and made this dish a great delight. All the other dishes were pretty “lagom”, not bad but nothing special. The fired chicken and shrimps were not crunchy enough, and the chicken sauce was overly sweet and sour that lacked the balance of savory. The maki sushi rolls were a bit dry in the rice and the dumplings that were supposed to be pan fried were a bit slimy in the dough. The dining environment was elegant and their bathroom was outstandingly beautiful. The cocktails were plain, for example it was very hard to sense green tea aroma in the drink called Green Tea Negroni. I tried to order two sakes on their list but they were both sold out.

A moderate authentic Thai restaurant with above average food quality. The pork belly was juicy in sauce but the texture of the skin was a bit too hard to chew on and the texture of the meat was not tender enough. The odor of the pork was properly removed, which was to my liking, and the sauce was flavorful. The duck and fish dishes I ordered were unfortunately the same in seasonings, I should have asked beforehand. They were both paired with coriander and red onions, together with lemongrass and spring onions, the combination of aromas reminds you of a Thai vacation. The fish was throughly cooked and even the tiny bones were deep fried until edible. The duck meat was a bit dry, but the seasoning went deep into the meat so it was still not bad. I would like to try more fish dishes from them next time.

The Hokkaido bread was super soft and full of the aroma of dairy. When eating warm, the cheese inside was melted and the flavors were at a balance of savory and sweet. However me and my friend failed to taste the Miso that was mentioned by the waitress. The pork chop was tender and juicy, even the pork fat parts were perfectly cooked, that they were crispy on the surface and soft inside. The pork meat odor was properly removed, and the paired grilled potatoes were outstanding in texture. The basque cheesecake was not overwhelmingly sweet, which was to my liking; and the texture was perfectly fluffy. The paired homemade rhubarb jam added acidity and neutralized the milky flavors of the dessert. The tables were extremely close to each other, at first glance of our seating, we thought we were going to share the same table with other guests.

Not bad sushi for this price range, but the worst ceviche I had ever had. As you can see in the picture, the dark green leaves supposedly to be coriander. The leaves were totally shrunken due to being extreme not fresh. The onions and peppers were not fresh either, they tasted soggy. The fish smelled very fishy, and broke into tiny pieces; the fish meat was totally denatured by the acid as well. To be honest I don’t know how long the ceviche had been stayed there. We couldn’t really eat it since it was too bad. The sushi was fine, the Nigiri came in different types of fishes, which was nice. The indoor decor of the big fish was unique and beautiful, and the waitress was really caring and nice.

A small cosy place with slightly above average dishes, unfortunately the service was extremely slow. The mussels were soaked in the chicken stock and the flavors were enhanced by the flambé, which gave a hint of smoky, and created complex for the combo of seafood and chicken. However the broth was way too salty. The steak tartar was nothing special in flavors, and the cut was too finely to my liking. The Daube was juicy and rich, with a touch of olives and tomatoes. The mashed potatoes were a bit sandy, not smooth enough, but gave the whole dish a pleasant texture. The biggest problem for my experience here was the service speed. When this place used to be Kagges, there were 3 people in the kitchen. However now they only have 1 person in the kitchen cooking for everyone. This led to an ultra slow serving time. We waited almost one hour for the main dishes after finishing our starters.

Quite authentic Szechuan dishes and the flavors were “Lagom”, nothings special but not bad. In general the dishes were very oily and greasy, better to order some veggies to neutralize the whole meal. The dry chilly chicken was the most authentic you can get in town. The cumin beef was not good at all, all we tasted was flour since the flour coating of the beef slices was way too thick. Also their rice quality was so so, and cooked a bit too wet to our taste.

An amazingly beautiful cafe with moderately priced food and alcohol, been here twice and satisfied both times. The grilled sandwiches here were flavorful, crispy and fluffy bread yet not dry. One time a customer accidentally picked the sandwich for me, and I picked his with nuts in it. The waiter offered a new portion to me since I’m allergic to nuts, and for free. The indoor decor is to my aesthetics, a vintage atmosphere with delicate taste.

The best value of money Asian fusion place in Stockholm, set in a stylish environment. The dishes seemed plain but the tastes were fabulous, and you could tell the chef put a lot of mind into creating the menu. The deep fried prawns were super tender, and the coating was very thin. The monkfish was firm in texture, and the vegetables were crunchy with wok hei. The deep fried lamb shank was the best I had in Stockholm, the meat juice was perfectly preserved and the lamb odor was totally removed. Again, the stir fried vegetables paired with the lamb came with wok hei. All the dishes were generous in portions. The highlight of the dinner was the dessert, a cooked pear infused with cinnamon, and served with sugar marinated ginger stripes and coconut meat ice cream. The combination of these simple flavors created a delicious harmony and I would highly recommend. The owner of the place was really friendly and welcoming, and he has a good collection of whiskey here. The whole atmosphere was classy and neat, with spacious seatings.

Decent food with reasonable pricing set in a beautiful environment by the sea. The red wine braised beef cheek was very tender and the flavors were totally soaked into every bite of the dish. The grilled vegetables on top of the meat added freshness and sweetness to the dish. Even the side salad was not a boring one, they definitely put mind into preparing it. Plus the portions were generous. This old place is in industrial style, yet still offers delicacy, and really matches my aesthetic. The high ceilings and sea view gave me a feeling of relaxation. Dining in such an environment was a delight, especially the food was to my liking as well.

Tyvärr dödade den smutsiga och obehagliga miljön vår aptit. Vi satt först utomhus och allt var jättebra. Nachosen var krispiga och inte feta. Toppingen kombinerade grönsakernas fräschör med smakerna av vällagad nötfärs och bidrog till hela rätten. Kryddningarna var perfekta och vi ville beställa mer. Natten blev mörkare så vi gick inomhus och beställde fler nachos. Återigen var de superläckra, täckta med tomatsås men bevarade den krispiga konsistensen. Men en fluga kom och försökte landa på vår mat, så jag tittade upp och det låg minst 20 flugor på väggen bredvid vårt bord. Tänk dig hur många fler flugor och larver som gömde sig på den här platsen! Jag tittade ner på golvet och det var smutsigt och fett också. Vår aptit försvann och vi avslutade kvällen tidigare än planerat.

Definitely not your neighborhood Thai place. This place offers Thai cuisine that puts delicacy in everyday dishes. The curry dishes they offer are not from the pre bottled curry mixes, you can taste the curry was homemade. The beef curry was very tender, and it was a mixture of soft lean meat and tendons. The curry had a bit bitterness, which added the complicity of the dish. The curry fish was spicy and sour, with the aroma of different veggies, perfect for a cold day. The coconut rice was a combo of jasmine and black rice, the scent of coconut enhanced other dishes’ flavors. The cabbage wok was in perfect texture and was full of wok hei, for me wok hej is the soul of a stir fried dish. The crab dish is definitely unique in Stockholm, the crab meat absorbed the gravy’s tastes and still preserved its own umami, and the Thai celery being used in this dish was a brilliant finishing touch. The cocktails and desserts here were amazing too. The pandan custard is a must try for sure. The whiskey washed in coconut kept inherent with the full meal, even though it was a strong drink, it was smooth to drink in.

4.5 star in my view, it would be perfect if the portion could be bigger. The four of us ordered almost everything on the menu, then had to order two extra repeated dishes to get full. The corn served with green tomatoes and hollandaise was refreshing, increased my appetite immediately. The pasta was really creamy and the al Dante was great. The lamb flavors were exotic and not too heavy, and the meat was juicy. The blueberry sorbet matched well with the sweet cloudberries and salty cream cheese, a balance of sweetness and savory indeed. Service wise, it was really nice that some of the dishes could have the nuts/nutty sauce served separately, so that both the allergic and non-allergic people on the same table can enjoy the dish.

A combination of tasty food and moderate price. The Korean dishes here are very authentic. It is hard to find Gimbap in Stockholm, and it’s a pleasant surprise that they have it at great quality. The bibimbap served in hot stone bowl was well made, all veggies were cooked to perfect texture and the beef was tender. Leave the dish untouched and bit longer before stirring it, the hot bowl would create a crispy layer of rice at the bottom of the bowl. The kimchi tofu soup was very flavorful, unlike a few other Korean restaurants I tried in Stockholm, whose kimchi soup tasted almost like water. Another pleasant surprise was the indoor atmosphere, it was very cozy. I’ll definitely come back in the winter to have a hot dish in the coziness.

5-star main dish and 3-star starters. Their special beef veggies wok was really good, a well balanced dish with the emphasis on green pepper corn. The meat was very tender and the veggies were crunchy. However the starters, both the spring rolls and deep fried screwers, were just average. The coating on the prawn was way too thick and the flavors were nothing special. If I’m in the area again I’ll try out more dishes here.

The biggest disappointment was the burrata starter, both me and my friend felt that the cheese went sour already. Although they changed another starter for us, the mood was gone. Plus even if the burrata was fresh, the burrata starter dish was extremely plain, simply put burrata together with some vegetables and pour olive oil and vinegar on them shouldn’t be defined as restaurant cooking. The frutti di mare pasta was generous in portion and seafood varieties, however the taste was bland, you could barely feel any acidity and aroma from the tomatoes. The beef truffle pasta was creamy and flavorful, however the other tables were served a bowl of cheese to add on the top, we didn’t receive any.

Update September 2023: Second time here and everything was still good on the Dim Sun menu. The pork and thousand-year egg porridge was very creamy yet still preserved the texture of lean pork and egg. The deep fried bread was super crispy and fluffy. The Chung Fun (steamed rice paper wraps) was silky smooth and perfectly seasoned. If you want to try authentic Cantonese Dim Sum (Cantonese Chinese tapas) in Stockholm, this is the place. First visit June 2022: This might look like just another place serves terrible Chinese fusion, but actually it serves really authentic Cantonese cuisine during the weekends! The sweet pork buns are juicy and soft. The other Dim Sum are just like what I had in HK back in the days. Each piece of the fried rice is totally separated and that’s an important indicator for a decent fried rice. Make sure to request for the dim sum menu during weekend afternoons!

The seafood pasta was pretty good, the tomatoes enhanced the flavors of seafood, and the pasta was boiled in a good way, not too soft not too hard. However the service was a bit off. We received bread basket without being told that it costed extra charge. We didn’t know that we needed to pay for the bread until we got the bill.

5-star falafels with average other dishes. The tables were a bit too packed there and the waiters had to bump into my chair every time they pass behind me. I always like Lebanese cuisine and this place offered one of the best falafels I had in Stockholm. Most of the times falafels are too dry for my taste, but this one kept the moist of the beans yet still crispy on the outside. I also recommend the deep fried artichoke, a good combo of greasy, veggie and cheesy. The other dishes were not outstanding but were not bad either, we took the vegetarian tasting menu and it was value of money.

A delightful and cozy cafe, with refreshing tasty salad, average homemade cookies, and top level service. Chèvre cheese is normally not my thing, but this place made me like it. Sometimes a simple but well made salad is all you need. The omelette was very fluffy and very rich in flavors, highly recommend. However the homemade cookies were just average, that’s why I’m not rating this place a 5-star.

Update March 2023: I came again and the quality became even better with their new dishes. Now you can taste the fabulous grilled lamb leg here together with clear lamb soup. The lamb leg was extremely crispy on the outside and juicy inside. Together with a dry sauce plate and some coriander, the aroma of the lamb became maximized. The whole grilled chicken was marinated perfectly, even though it was grilled with skin on, the seasonings reached every part of the meat. This place has a hidden Chinese menu for authentic Chinese dishes. The tastes are pretty ok comparing with the other Chinese places in Stockholm, and the prices are comparatively cheaper. The duck beer stew is a must try, you can clearly taste the sweetness of beer in the duck meat. One thing they can improve is that not all the dishes look like the pictures on their menu.

This place has potential to be more than just another neighborhood place serves Swedish Chinese food. Right now they have both authentic Hong Kong Cantonese and Swedish Chinese on the menu, which can easily confuse the customers. Those who pick the authentic dishes would think this place is quite decent, yet those who pick the Swedish Chinese dishes would think this place is nothing special. I would personally recommend taking their authentic part of the menu, then you can have a taste of Hong Kong Cantonese daily food. The beef in the noodle wok was very tender, and the wontons were flavorful. The tiger prawns were sizzling when they got served and the onion tomato based sauce was enhancing the flavors of the prawns. I hope in the future they could remove the Swedish Chinese dishes and add more HK Dai Pai Dong (Open-air Food Stalls) styled dishes, to fills in the blanks of this special cuisine in Stockholm.

In general the food quality is plain, it could be because that I could only order plain dishes since 2 of the dishes I wanted to order were out of stock. The lobster soup was a good starter. I could taste that they made the head of the lobster into use and boiled the soup out of its essence. However the choice of broccoli to be part of the soup was not really to my taste, personally I would prefer asparagus or celtuce. The pepper steak was juicy and tender, and the cut was without tendons. But it was just plain steak, no specialty in it at all. The crème brûlée was a “lagom” one, smooth and creamy, but nothing special either. I really wish that I could have tried their turbot with scallops and mussels dish, but it was out of stock, as well as the oysters starter. I feel steak is the worst dish to tell the skills and creativity of the chef (unless you order it well-done). Plus crème brûlée was not my first choice; I was aiming for black sesame ice cream but was told that it contained nuts, even though nuts was not marked as an ingredient in the menu.

My heart sank when I saw the ramen was served with raw bean sprouts. The sushi was ok, not so much variety even though it was a 16-pieces, but the flavor was acceptable, too much mayonnaise just as any other Swedish sushi place. The fried chicken was really dry, and not crispy enough. Heard so much good things about this place, but it unfortunately is not for me.

En dold pärla utanför stan. Helt klart värd din restid för att komma hit. Jag har turen att bo i närheten och njuter av deras mat väldigt ofta. Deras bageri är förstklassigt, gelaton är smakrik och salladen är en av de bästa i Stockholm. Om du frågar mig vad man ska äta här skulle jag säga allt!

Food quality 4 stars because they serve dishes hard to be found in Stockholm, service 5 stars, price 3 stars, environment 1 star. I had Thai styled duck noodle soup here and it is not so easy to get this dish in other Thai places in Stockholm. It is a bit pricy and the taste is not 100%, but I’d like to give it high ratings because it is rare here. The environment however is not good at all, the air smelt like sewers unfortunately.
