Sour floor for hard-earned money, avoid Golvpoolen if you care about your home and your feet! I wanted to treat myself to a new, fresh parquet floor. The result? Almost 50,000 kronor poorer and a floor that felt more like a thorny mat than something you want to walk on barefoot. The boards didn't click together. The joints stuck out like little knives. Socks were torn. Feet could have started to bleed. My certified craftsman looked at it and just said: “This is crap.” We brought some of the worst pieces to Golvpoolen's store in Helsingborg. The staff agreed: “This is not up to par.” The store manager promised, not just once, but twice that same day that both the floor and the craftsman's costs would be reimbursed. Hallelujah! we thought. But no. I was also expected to leave a broken floor in the apartment in the middle of a renovation, with moving in in two weeks, waiting for someone to maybe show up and look at it. I ended up loading the floor onto a trailer myself and driving it back to the store. The floor pool did refund the floor. But when it came to the tradesman's compensation, they turned the tables. Suddenly, the responsibility lay with an anonymous supplier that I, as a customer, had never had anything to do with. They have approved a complaint about the floor, but the tradesman who tried to work on their parquet floor is still supposed to pay for me, according to them. This is despite the fact that they themselves have admitted that the floor was a complaint. Talk about ignoring the law. I now have a tradesman invoice for work that was done before the complaint. The floor pool refuses to pay and refers to a supplier's assessment that says the floor is "okay". I just say LOOK AT THE PICTURES, what do you think? To the CEO of Golvpoolen, honestly, would you like to install this floor in your home yourself? According to you, it is in perfectly good condition and is not subject to complaint. You were just kind enough to refund me for the floor that came in chips. My advice to the rest of you, do not leave your flooring dreams in Golvpoolen's hands. Choose a retailer who actually takes responsibility when something goes wrong. A picture is worth a thousand words and if you want this disaster floor in your home, Golvpoolen apparently has a whole stock of it. That Golvpoolen is not ashamed, it actually surprises me.
