⭐☆☆☆☆ My dog Zelda lost her life following a decision made at this clinic. Zelda had lived for years as a happy three-legged dog. With support and a wheelchair she had learned to move, play and enjoy life, and multiple veterinarians who had treated her over the years considered her perfectly able to continue living with a good quality of life. What makes this so difficult to understand is that, from everything I have seen and been told, no real effort appears to have been made to assess how Zelda functioned in daily life — including how she used her wheelchair — or to carry out a thorough evaluation before ending her life. Instead, the decisive assessment seems to have come from a very recently graduated veterinarian with only limited professional experience. That judgement effectively set aside the views of experienced professionals who had known and treated Zelda for years. More than six weeks later, the central question remains unanswered: how could the expertise of those veterinarians simply be disregarded, and why was there no transparent explanation of the procedure that led to such an irreversible outcome? Zelda was not just a case. She was family and we don’t even live in Sweden!
