I have been booking the Sunday package at Gästis one day in the winter, every year for the past ten years. It’s a nice hotel: very cute and neat, the people are nice, the rooms very comfortable. But one thing I’ve noticed is that the price goes up a lot year on year and both the value and the charm go down. Whereas most nice hotels will be a bit flexible - they’ll let you have half an hour extra before checking out to take a meeting, you can go in the sauna for ten minutes before breakfast - at Gästis you used to be able to do this, but as of 2026 you now have to pay a lot extra for these basic things. Food in the restaurant is ok, but very overpriced. All this on top of an already expensive room. It’s still a good hotel but like so many places, it now seems to be more about profits than hospitality. So thank you for the last ten years Gästis, I had some great times there, and hopefully you recapture some of what made the place so special again one day. Let us know if you do.

Maten är alltid utsökt, människorna som driver det är trevliga och kaffet är det bästa i stan. Jag tror att vi har verkligen tur som har ett ställe som Eile i Alingsås.

Riktigt bra hårklippning och verkligen serviceinriktad.

Fantastiskt kaffe och riktigt kunnig personal. Trevligt utbud av bönor att köpa och ta med hem. Ser fram emot mitt nästa besök.
