What a gem! So unique and creative. Don’t miss the melodic shime that plays a tune when the rain runs through the inside water spout and the beautifully made toilet outside. You won’t regret the drive out to this place.
Nicely situated in the harbour of Båstad. Unfortunately a large yacht was parked right in front of the restaurant which blocked the view, though hardly the fault of Solsidan Restaurant. We were quickly place at a table for two only to be asked to move 5 minutes later as "the table is already booked and we don't want to have to move you in the middle of your dinner". Why seat us there in the first place then? The food was mediocre to say the least and it made the price seem astronomical compared to what they serve you. We had the Schnitzel which was far from worth the 340 SEK we each had to pay. The luke warm water served at the table was fancily displayed in bottles labeled "Åre Water", but comes opened and according to the waiter, contains normal tap water. Though we didn't pay extra for the water it seemed sneaky to use another company's logo that way. Will not be dining there again as it really wasn't worth the cost.
