The menu brags about his love for the American burger. But no one in their right mind waits 75 minutes for a burger in the US - much less a burger with canned guacamole on it... Understaffed and all the tables around us complaining, we eventually went behind the bar and grabbed our own silverware when we couldn't get help. The meat was good, fries fantastic (even though they were served 10 minutes after the burgers) but minus points for the rest. The poor server kept apologizing and genuinely felt bad. Not cool to throw your wait-staff to the wolves like that. Not if you want to keep the good ones, anyhow. Maybe if Ed hired a third server to cover his tables and a few more hands in the kitchen we would have had a good experience.
Om du letar efter fika och ett bageri som serverar färska smörgåsar och kakor är Café Elena inget för dig. Gå istället ner till ett konditori eller bageri i närheten. Om du är en del av den mogna skaran som bara letar efter en kopp kaffe och en plats att sitta ner på kan det här vara precis rätt för dig. Elena är inte ett ställe jag särskilt gillar som ett ställe att hänga på eller få min fikados. Det finns bättre ställen i närheten.
